Jaime Pressly Arrested For Suspicion Of DUI

My Name Is Earl" star Jaime Pressly was arrested on Wednesday evening in Santa Monica, California, for suspicion of driving under the influence.

The bust was first reported by TMZ and confirmed by MTV News. A spokesperson for the Santa Monica Police Department told us that she was pulled over late Wednesday, but declined to state exactly when and where the arrest took place. Pressly reportedly failed a field sobriety test, though the spokesperson declined to say if Pressly had taken a breathalyzer test.

According to TMZ, the actress was pulled over around 11 p.m. for a traffic violation. She was arrested and held on $15,000 bail. The spokesperson would not comment on whether or not Pressly is still in custody.

A rep for Pressly could not be reached as of press time.

A two-time Emmy nominee for her work on "My Name Is Earl," which NBC canceled in 2009 after a four-season run, Pressly is married to entertainment lawyer Simran Singh, with whom she has a young son. She also has a son from a previous relationship with DJ Eric Cubiche.

Since the cancellation of "My Name Is Earl," the 33-year-old Pressly has struggled to find work on par with her lengthy network TV run. She has gone on to appear in a short, two-episode arc on CBS' "Rules of Engagement," as well as in the Lifetime TV movie "Smoke Screen," in which she plays a journalist pulled into a high-stakes murder investigation.
