Final Larry King, |
Veteran interviewer Larry King bowed out with a ratings bang after 25 years on air as more than 2.2m viewers tuned in to his final show.
Ratings for the long-running show had dipped to 700,000 viewers this year, reportedly prompting News network CNN to recruit Piers Morgan to take over King’s slot.
Viewers saw the 77 year-old receive a good luck message from President Barack Obama.
King was also serenaded by legendary crooner Tony Bennett, with property tycoon Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton among the surprise guests.
