Padma awards: Kerala didn't nominate Resul

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Controversy over the Padma award doesn't seem to end. After the heat on the UPA in the O P Chatwal episode, its now the turn of

Oscar winner Resul Pookkutti, who belongs to the state, did not figure among those nominated to the Centre for the Padma Shri.

This came to light after an RTI plea filed by a Kochi-based lawyer Binu. Reacting to the news, Divakaran said the government had not ignored Pookkutti.
